How is Google Autosuggest placement different from ranking for a keyword?
Autosuggest and organic rankings are entirely separate systems. Organic rankings are determined by crawling, indexing, and relevance scoring. Autosuggest is driven by query pattern signals, entity associations, and user behavior data. A brand can rank first for a keyword organically and never appear in Autosuggest for it. Is Autosuggest placement against Google's Terms of Service?
No. Google's Terms of Service prohibit automated queries that violate abuse policies and certain forms of ad fraud.
